Mentorship Over Oceans: Connect First Credit Union Welcomes Woman from Philippines for Week Long Immersive Skill Sharing Program

Calgary, AB - Connect First Credit Union, in partnership with the Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA's) Women's Mentorship Program will spend a week from June 10 – 17 cross training Maria Corazon E. Vispo from Basud Development Cooperative in the Philippines in Canadian credit union practices.

CCA’s Women's Mentorship Program is an annual training program that provides women credit union managers of overseas financial co-operatives with a unique international professional development opportunities, while fostering mutual learning amongst international co-operators.

During her time with Connect First Credit Union, Maria will learn about southern Alberta’s urban and rural markets, working with teams in both their divisions First Calgary Financial and Chinook Financial. She’ll shadow and cross-train with teams in retail banking, human resources, brand and stakeholder engagement, business banking and more.
