The Calgary Stampeders are proud to once again partner with First Calgary Financial to help high-school students with financial literacy,
For a second consecutive year, the Calgary Stampeders and First Calgary Financial are joining forces to host local high school classrooms for a day that will make learning finances as exciting as going to a game.
Defensive backs Brandon Smith and Jamar Wall, along with the First Calgary team, will meet with Calgary high-school groups on five dates this fall at McMahon Stadium to teach money-management skills.
"This is a great program for students and a fun way for them to learn the importance of money management,” said Smith, an 11-year Stampeders veteran who works as an accountant in the off-season. “I enjoyed my involvement with this program last year and Jamar and I look forward to doing it again."
The program is free and Calgary high school classrooms can participate by sending 800 words or less on why this opportunity matters to them and their students by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org The lucky winners will be selected randomly and contacted by the end of June.
