connectFirst Credit Union to support BC flood relief efforts.

December 2, 2021 | Calgary, AB – connectFirst Credit Union today announced a donation of $15,000 in support of the Canadian Red Cross British Columbia Floods and Extreme Weather Appeal.

As a proud member of the Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA), connectFirst is committed to joining alongside its credit union peers across Alberta, which in a system-wide appeal organized by Alberta Central has raised more than $40,000 to date. These funds will directly support the relief and recovery efforts in hard-hit communities affected by flooding and extreme weather in British Columbia.

“As Albertans, we understand the devastating impact that extreme weather can have,” said Paul Kelly, Chief Executive Officer, connectFirst Credit Union. “At connectFirst our Mission is ‘to make money make a difference’ and now more than ever we need to leverage the credit union system’s cooperative model and community-focused approach to let our BC neighbours know they have our support.”
